    Chris Davies on the Aviation accidents in the Cheviot Hills. (Free for Hostel Residents)
    Guided Walk by Reiver Guiding of the sites (£15pp)
    2nd June – 3rd June 2018
    Chris Davies has agreed to come along to the Wooler Youth Hostel on the 2nd June at 7:30pm and give a talk on the events leading up to these tragic accidents and also what happened in the aftermath. 
    The next Day (Sunday 3rd June) Reiver Guiding (Based at the Hostel) in conjunction with Lone Tree Hill Outdoor experience will be hosting a guided walk (approx. 10 miles) to visit these sites on the Cheviot.

The hostel is well equipped for our wide range of guests, whether you are coming to stay to explore the area, are doing some serious walking or cycling or part of a wider group you're sure to find everything you need.

Food & Drink

Breakfasts are available: 

Please confrim wether you would like breakfast when booking, and we will send you a current breakfast menu with prices (Prices range from £3.50-£7.00)

A typical example:

  • Organic Porridge made with milk and Brown Sugar, served with cinnamon or Honey £3.50
  • A toasted muffin topped with a free range fried egg, outdoor bred pork sausages and bacon and a helping of baked beans and mushrooms. £6.00
  • A variety of cereals and as much toast as you can manage. £3.50
  • Fair Trade Tea & Coffee with all breakfasts and a glass of apple or orange juice.


    We currently only serve Packed lunches and evening meals for exclusive hire groups

or those who would like to prepare their own meals there is a well-equiped self catering kitchen.
