New for Autumn 2022  – 17th October –21st October
Whether it’s Coastal or Hill and moorland walks, we certainly have lots of options around Wooler and the surrounding area for a good day out. But sometimes when you are new to the area it’s hard to find some of the more hidden places and areas to explore.
Here at the Hostel we have decided to put on a five days of guided walks in the Autumn to give you a chance to find and explore the more hidden locations in North Northumberland.

How do you fancy heading into a smugglers cave hidden deep in moorland, or finding WW2 Aviation crash sites in the Cheviot Hills? Or maybe marvel at stunning waterfall locations with superb wild swimming locations?
All these walks will be guided by Karl, a qualified and insured Mountain Leader, who living and working locally has extensive knowledge of the area.

As well as guided walks, there is also the chance to learn map/compass skills and some hill skills that will help keep you safe when you head out by yourselves.

At this stage we aren’t putting together a walk programme on a particular date, this will evolve as interest is registered.
Walks will be varied in length and ability, some will start from the Hostel, and some will require a short drive and transport can be provided if needed.

Prices will be £30 pp (This is a discounted rate for hostel guests)
