  • If you ever have a need to 'get away from it all' then I can recommend wooler Youth Hostel. Mick the Warden is welcoming and is the go to guy on knowledge of the area/walks etc. if you are not 'self catering', the hostel provides very good wholesome food in the evening and at breakfast. The facilities are extremely clean and well kept

The hostel is a great centre for exploration and the staff are always helpful as to the attractions in the area. Stunning scenery, local pubs for lunch and many attractions close by make this the ideal destination.
